Pga Fourball Championship 2019-Llavaneras

This week the PGA Fourball Championship 2019 has been played and our member  at Llavaneras Golf Club, Pep Anglès, is the winner.

We are pleased to know that the winner of the PGA Fourball Championship 2019 edition has been one of ours. The tournament was played in Lumine Mediterránea Beach & Golf Community from 12th to 14th of February 2019. A total of 110 teams played in this European championship. Pairs from all over Europe who came to compete at Costa Daurada coast. All of them, great players. And of course, our great player Pep Anglès of Llavaneras Golf Club, participated in the tournament as well.

The Tournament

The tournament consisted of 54 holes fourball best ball stroke play, with a cut after 36 holes. The player of Llavaneras Golf Club was in tandem with the Mallorcan player, Toni Ferrer. Undoubtedly a good combination because during the three days of play, their golf was at the top.

Despite playing two demanding courses such as the Lakes and Hills course, the team signed a breathtaking card. The first day they signed, nothing more and nothing less, than a card of 61 strokes. The next day a 65 was shot leaving the team in a leading position by just 1 shot. The third and last day, the team sentenced the tournament with a score card of 64 strokes. All three rounds made them become champions of the Pga Fourball Championship 2019 with 3 strokes from the second spot.

According to the statements of the players, the two of them played very solid golf and understood eachother  very well. Especially Pep, who hit the ball very well and recognizes that winning a tournament with a good friend makes the victory much more cheerful. Both are happy to be able to start the season in such a satisfactory way. And we, Llavaneras Golf Club, are very happy.

And we want to congratulate our member, Pep Anglès, for the victory and we wish him a 2019 season full of victories. Good luck!
